Bones of Caer Caradoc

An ancient hillfort. A modern corpse. And a killer who can’t leave the past buried.

When a body is found on an Iron Age hillfort, DI Georgie Fraser is excluded from the case. Then an archaeological dig turns up a second set of bones. Not Iron Age. At most twenty years old. Could the two deaths be related? Fraser can only watch from the sidelines as her former protégée, DS Corby, takes on her first major case.

It seems everyone is standing in Corby’s way, even the new DI to whom she must report. And why does Corby’s case keep circling back to Fraser’s own investigation into the vandalism of ancient burial sites?

Who placed the bones in the cist? Who wrapped the body in tarpaulin? And if the two deaths, fifteen years apart, are as unconnected as they seem, why are the injuries identical?

Someone is out for revenge. Fraser and Corby must find out who — before Caer Caradoc claims another victim.
